On Friday April 1 the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Las Torres de Cotillas welcomed the award of the "Second International Poetry Contest" in the municipality, organized by the Foundation "Carmen Montero Medina" and sponsored by the City Council Torreño.
The winner of this contest was the writer manchego Juan Lorenzo Collado, who won the $ 1,000 award granted by the City Torreño through his poem "When it's late," the jury noted that "the wealth of his verse style and the range of metaphorical images and combining original. "
The author, who attended the event, recited the poem winner and showed his gratitude and joy for this award.
The event was chaired by the president of the Foundation, Carmen Montero Medina, and he participated as guests Torreño Mayor, Domingo Coronado, and Councillor for Culture, Domingo Cava.

Author versatile
Juan Lorenzo Collado Gómez, born in Albacete, author of books of poetry, fiction and drama, some of which have won awards as the "Lincoln-Marti of Miami-USA, the" Medicus Mundi "of Oviedo," Federico García Lorca "in Barcelona and most recently, the" City of Jumilla (Murcia).
