On August 15 we celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and, as is tradition, this time the neighborhood of the pulpits of the Torres de Cotillas prepares to honor their patron saint.
And they will do one more year with a festival in which the participation of their neighbors share the limelight with the summer heat and desire Torrena fun.
The events begin Friday morning August 12 at 21 am with the presentation of the book "Eternal Images", by Jose Martinez, the town best known as the "Lali".
The event will take place in the neighborhood social center and will Torrena intervention Official Chronicler of Ceuta, José Antonio Marín Mateos, and journalist for "The Truth", Manuel Herrero.
This book is a collection of nearly 500 vintage photographs depicting the life and customs of the neighbors over the years, a selection that meets even images dating from the late nineteenth century.
Later, the neighbors can enjoy the performance of a musical group in the garden of the Church of the Assumption (22 hours) with assistance free.
More events
On Saturday August 13 will have only the group's performance Copla Corner in the garden of the Church (22 hours), while the next day the same scenario will host the performance of the magazine cinnamon varieties, with their show of singing, dancing and fine humor (22:30 hours).
Finally, on Monday August 15 will feature two of deeply rooted religious events in the neighborhood of the pulpit.
On the one hand, at 20 hours there will be a Mass in honor of the patron officiated by Pastor Holder Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, D.

Furthermore, at 21 hours the neighbors will draw in procession through the streets of the Virgin, in a parade that will end with a huge fireworks display as a finale.
