The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has introduced a number of changes in the regulation of the City Clerk of unions, affecting both the personal qualifications of people who want to register as domestic partners as the inclusion-adapting to the state regulations and a regional-tax rate of 50 euros and 25 registration the certificate is made thereon.
Thus, people who specifically request their registration must, among other conditions, be of legal age and be registered in the same household in the town Torrena at least one year prior to that request.
"The amendment to the ordinance regulating the Register of unions, which came into force on Wednesday 28 March, has become the sole and exclusive purpose of ensuring their proper use and prevent abusive and fraudulent use thereof" says the councilor Torrena Citizen Participation, Isabel Franco, who remembers "if a couple wanted to register in the municipality and when staff asked one of the members full name of the other could not answer."
