The natural grass field of municipal Cotillas Towers hosted on Wednesday April 4 the "Murcia Jugger Tournament III", a young German-born sport that has come to our country recently.
Organized by the Murcian Jugger in collaboration with the local Sports Council, the competition was attended by more than a hundred players from throughout the Region of Murcia.
This sport, whose goal is the conversion of goals and in which the teams are comprised of 5 players, is played with instruments made of foam (both the ball as the vessels of the game, "pompfen" which serve a defensive function ) over a field of 20 x 40 meters.
Unlike most similar games, only one player from each team is allowed to touch the ball with his hands, to be nailed to a stake or otherwise deposited into a brand that is at each end of the field game and serves as the "arc" (or goal).
