Five of the seven detainees with a history of committing similar crimes
The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed an investigation into two robberies committed in a public establishment Cotillas Towers, which has resulted in the arrest of seven people, five of them for theft and two for receiving .
During the investigation agents have recovered most of the effects stolen in the robberies after being brought to justice have been returned to its rightful owner.
Agents of the Civil Guard following the commission of two robberies in a public sector of cycling, where both stolen many high-end bicycles, began an investigation in order to solve these crimes with the identification of perpetrators and recovery of stolen effects.
The result of this investigation and after a thorough inspection practice of eye and various technical steps, the agents sought clues that allowed the identity and modus operandi of the perpetrators of the robbery, in this case a group of young people.
Modus operandi
In both cases a large group of people, at dawn to avoid being detected and after the use of force at the entrances of the establishment, entered inside the shop where stolen high-end bikes and cycling accessories were loaded and transported in vehicles large to safety.
Then bicycles were stolen illegally distributed in Alicante at a price well below retail.
The result of the investigations carried out by the agents managed to locate both members of the criminal group alleged to have committed the robberies and two other people who had purchased the stolen bikes.
During the last few days and once obtained all necessary evidence, the Civil Guard has proceeded to the location, arrest and subsequent remand in custody of two people suspected of a crime of receiving and five people as suspects in two robberies force.
Agents have also managed to recover much of the effects stolen in the robbery, that after being brought to justice have been returned to their rightful owners.

As part of this investigation, the Civil Guard has proceeded to the arrest of seven people, five on suspicion of two counts of burglary and two as suspected perpetrators of the crime of receiving, identified as:
- Spanish, 34 years old and a resident of Ceuta.
- Moroccan, 21 years old and living in Las Torres de Cotillas.
- Spanish, 19-year-old resident of Las Torres de Cotillas.
- Spanish, 18-year-old resident of Sewell.
- Spanish, 18 year-old resident of Las Torres de Cotillas

- Spanish, 24-year-old man from Elche (Alicante)
Effects retrieved:
The investigating officers have managed to recover the effects stolen from inside the establishment, after being brought to justice have been returned to its rightful owners:
Three road bikes.
Twelve mountain bikes.
And bike accessories like helmets and saddles users.
The detainees, recovered and proceedings initiated effects have been made available to the competent judicial authorities.
