With its traditional "Festival of Folklore" closed on the night of Saturday 7 July his "Cultural Week" club "Pulpitero Corner" of Las Torres de Cotillas, a tribute to the roots of our region huertanas which this year was with the participation of the club "The Esparteña" (Algezares), the club "The Candle" (Monteagudo) and self Torrena rock with his band "Our Lady of Fatima."
This "Cultural Week", whose actions took place at the Municipal Auditorium "Joe Bathroom" of the municipality, had begun on Wednesday July 4 with a wide varied dance program with the participation of the group "Timanfaya" of the rock itself, of recently created a local group and the whole belly dance "Zahra" Orihuela.
The next meeting was on Thursday 5 July and the role went to the youngest, who was scheduled for a "Cantajuegos" with clowns, dancing children and the participation of their idols, like Dora the Explorer or SpongeBob.
On Friday night, July 6 was that of Andalusia, with a performance by dance group "Alameda del Rincón" and the awards ceremony and memories of the "Pilgrimage Rociera" held last weekend.
More proposals
The next "Cultural Week"-all organized in collaboration with the Culture Department at the Municipal Auditorium Torrena "Joe Bathroom" - will be on Friday 13th and Saturday July 14 (22 h) with the group's proposal "Badana" and Thursday 26 and Friday, July 27 (22 h) with the appointment of the group "Kimera".
