The Municipal Auditorium "Joe Bathroom" Las Torres de Cotillas hosted this past weekend the "Cultural Week" in the "Badana" Torreño, which included free admission and focused on the soundtracks of the movies most popular movies with titles like "Pretty Woman", "Moulin Rouge", "Dirty Dancing" or "Singing in the rain."
Thus, on the evening of Friday 13 juliolas young girls in the group staged Torrena the flamenco and classical, while the next day was the turn of the modern and musical.
The choreography of the evening, which lasted approximately two hours, were prepared by the teachers and artistic directors group: Miriam Rubio (classic), Tere Sarabia (modern) and Maria Jose Vicente (flamenco music).
The next "Cultural Week"-all organized in collaboration with the Culture Department at the Municipal Auditorium Torrena "Joe Bathroom" of the town, will be the next Thursday 26 and Friday 27 July (22 h) with the appointment of the group "Kimera".
More proposals
The first one was organized by the rock Torrena "Pulpitero Corner", the proposal began on Wednesday July 4 with a wide varied dance program with the participation of the group "Timanfaya" of the rock itself, a local group newly created and the whole belly dance "Zahra" Orihuela.
The next meeting was on Thursday 5 July and the role went to the youngest, who was scheduled for a "Cantajuegos" with clowns, dancing children and the participation of their idols, like Dora the Explorer or SpongeBob.
On Friday night, July 6 was that of Andalusia, with a performance by dance group "Alameda del Rincón" and the awards ceremony and memories of the "Pilgrimage Rociera" held last weekend.
And "The Corner Pulpitero" closed on the night of Saturday 7 July his "Cultural Week" in the traditional "Festival of Folklore", a tribute to the roots of our region huertanas which this year included the participation of the rock "The Esparteña" (Algezares), the club "The Candle" (Monteagudo) and self Torrena rock with his band "Our Lady of Fatima."
