The City of Las Torres de Cotillas, through its Department of Social Services, and has awarded more than $ 22,000 in financial assistance for the purchase of books and school supplies for the academic year 2012-13.

These grants, which target low-income families with school children in the municipality of between 3 and 16 years, this year has been distributed as follows: 125 students in Early Childhood Education (33 euros per school), 238 Primary (50 euros per school) and 101 secondary schools (60 per school), which makes a total of 564.

During the call for aid were received in the Social Services Centre Torreño requests a total of 270 families, of which only 13 have been rejected for not meeting the requirements (such as exceeding income, receive other public assistance for the same concept or provide documentation).
