The Segura basin (CHS) will consider a request by the irrigators of the Fifth Zone of the Tajo-Segura to use treated water from the sewage treatment plant Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) of Cotillas Towers.
The president of the Fifth Community Irrigation Area, Juan Sanchez, has made this request this morning the president of the CHS, Ródenas Michelangelo, in a meeting which was accompanied by the mayors of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, and eyes, Pablo Melgarejo.
The requirements under the Fifth Zone redotación would mean a surface that has irrigation community in the affected municipalities.
So far, farmers receive only 7.2 hectometers annual aqueduct at the rate of 4,000 cubic meters per hectare per year.
On the other hand, irrigators have invited the president to visit CHS facilities Fifth Zone, one of the most modernized of the basin, which also has high-yield crops to save on water consumption.
