Users of Senior Center Towers Cotillas participate from Monday April 15 in an act of three-way twinning, which also contribute to the higher centers of San Javier and the Portuguese town of Arganil.
So, first thing in the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena has hosted an official reception at the biggest participants in this experiment in which they participated, with the director general of Seniors, Enrique Perez, Mayor Torreño, Sunday Coronado, and their counterparts in San Javier, Juan Martinez, and Arganil, Ricardo Pereira.
"This meeting is part of the activities of the 'European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations' and in the first phase we are visiting 50 people over Portugal with whom we share a busy schedule of activities that affect the focus of active aging through the arts, music, food, sport, theater, culture and customs in general, "said Councilwoman Torrena Social Policy, Fina Almela, also present at this event-centric cuisine and regional folklore- subsequently featured a panel discussion with the title "The biggest, for a united Europe."

To regain strength in this twinning participants enjoyed a meal of coexistence in the Senior Center Torreño also stage an exhibition of Murcia regional folklore and a Mass sung by the choirs of Arganil centers and Cotillas Towers .
More activities
This twinning - funded by the European Commission, among the three major centers, one of only two programs approved for Spain within the project "Europe for citizens", has been extended until Friday 19 April.
The program includes cultural visits to Cartagena and Murcia San Javier a day (Thursday April 18), dedicated to music and sports, with sports sessions on the esplanade Barnuevo, performances of dance and music and a boat trip by the Mar Menor.
So, tomorrow, Tuesday April 16th's scheduled visits to various museums in the community to show the culture and art Murcia.
