The City of Las Torres de Cotillas, through Aquagest municipal water company, according to its annual calendar pest prevention, has initiated the second intensive treatment program within the annual clash of Disinfection, Pest, Rodent control (DDD) , public sewers to control the presence of both cockroaches, like rats.
In this campaign DDD is added treatments performed in public buildings.
The work the company is developing a specialized, operators using insecticides and treatments for this type of cases.
However, despite regular monitoring is done at the municipal level, the City Council also appeals to citizen collaboration.
"A timely warning cockroaches detection can help us to respond more effectively if possible", says the councilor Torrena Environment, Inmaculada Fernández.
