Athletes and Antonio Canovas torreños Araceli Guerrero were prophets in the land on Sunday September 29 and won their categories in the "I Cross Triathlon Sprint Popular Cotillas Towers," an event organized by LeitSport, the Sports Center Towers (WDT) and the very local Sports Council.
So, Canovas won in the women's 18-22 years, while Guerrero did the same in the male over 45 years.
In addition, other winners were James Grace (18-22 years), Cristina Alajarín (23-34 years), Alejandro Martinez (23-34 years), Sonia Navas (35-44) and Miguel Angel Cantero (35-44 years ).
With a total of 87 participants, the test-which was centered WDT-handed the trophies to the top three finishers in each category, as well as t-shirts for all, lunch, water, beer, etc..
"It was a very testing demanded by local athletes and conceived as an ideal date to start on athletic ordeal is the triathlon," says local councilor for Sports, Ginés Pérez Iniesta.
Thus, the athletes had to complete a tour of 12'8 kilometers, 300 meters swimming pools WDT, covering 10 km cycling and running 2.5 kilometers (two parts in the circuits duly authorized for this competition).
"It is to acknowledge the assistance and support of both the official sponsors of the test-Manubike and Emilio Car-like Local Police, Civil Protection and Sports volunteers," says Pérez Iniesta.
