The City of Towers Cotillas five years has renewed its agreement with ECOEMBES, which regulates the amount to pay the additional costs of separate collection (paper / cardboard and packing light) and how to do it.
"This agreement is ordered according to the Law of Packaging, the packers charging a price for each package to put on the market, using this amount to compensate the cost administration of selective collection" said the mayor Torrena Environment, Inmaculada Fernández.
This past July we signed the renewal of the framework agreement with the Autonomous Community ECOEMBES, which is what governs the relationship between the municipalities and the company, a deal that will run until May 2018.
More than 94,000 euros
"In Cotillas Towers today are 29 containers of 1000 liter containers, 800 liter 250 units and another 82 containers of 3000 liters for paper / cardboard, which collected 316,100 kilos of packaging and 52,808 kilos of paper / cardboard in 2012, "he explains.
ECOEMBES is a non-profit company, whose shares are formed by packers, trade and distribution companies, commodity companies and recyclers.
More than 12,000 companies are part of ECOEMBES, identify their packaging with the Green Dot symbol and meet its environmental commitments.
