The "Amateur Theatre Contest II John Bath" Las Torres de Cotillas-to distribute more than 2,000 euros in prize-started this past weekend with two great performances as possible, which served to fill the stalls of a House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena which will host the representation of all the works.
So, on Friday November 8 group "Airen Theatre", Tomelloso (Ciudad Real) staged the play "The House of the goats" by James Hall, a story set in the Spanish Civil War.
The next night, Saturday November 9, the group "Carasses Theatre" (Elda, Alicante) performed "Paint me in eternity", a work of Alberto Miralles set in the Renaissance.
The event will continue on Friday November 15 (21 hours), when it will be the turn of "La Barraca of Federico".
This group of San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia) will stage the work of Alejandro Casona "Lady of the Dawn" which introduces the public to a family tragedy.
To close the works in competition, on Saturday November 16 (21 hours) the group "The Candle" (Talavera de la Reina, Toledo) perform the play "The Price" by Arthur Miller, in which the plot revolves around the meeting of two brothers after 16 years.
To close the event, and already out of competition, on Saturday November 30 (21 hours) Torreño group "Tejuba" put on the table of the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" the play "An Inspector Calls," a more the wide range of this group consists of amateur performers and has never stopped producing theater since he was born in Cotillas Towers in 1967.
This evening will also be held the awards offered: 1,000 and 500 euros for the first and second place respectively group, 200 euros and a trophy for Best Actor and Best Actress, as well as 100 euros and a trophy for each of the best actor and actress.

This event is organized by the Department of Culture Torrena in collaboration with Torreño amateur theater group "Tejuba".
"Last year, which was imposed Murcia theater group 'Imagined Space', we have a great public success that we hope to repeat in this issue," said the Councillor for Culture Torrena, Isabel Franco.
