The amateur theater group "Tejuba" of leads Cotillas Towers tomorrow Friday November 22 (21 hours) at the Auditorium of Ceuta tables most recent work of his repertoire, "An Inspector Calls".
This piece, directed by Joaquin Torreño Cantero premiered last June 30, is a play written in 1946 by English dramatist JB Priestley in which he denounced the painful values ​​on which was based the system of the time.
"The amazing thing is that it is also valid today and makes us think about what we are building," said Cantero.
Starring Antonio Gracia, Rafa Canovas, Soledad López, Carmen Sandoval, José Joaquín Licerán, Lara and Antonio Lorena Almagro, the play takes place in 1912 and presents the Birling, an aristocratic family celebrating the engagement of their daughter, a party that is interrupted by an inspector investigating the suicide of a young woman.
More than 45 years
The theater group "Tejuba", born in Cotillas Towers in 1967, is composed of amateur performers and has never stopped producing theater.
An activity that unites more than 40 people ranging in age from one year to the seventies, as it has a large pool of players to ensure the continuity of this group.
Founded by John Bath, the group has gone through all the towns of the Region of Murcia, and other neighboring communities such as Almeria, Albacete and Alicante.
His repertoire can be found sketches, interludes, classical theater and modern theater and mystery.
