The City of Towers Cotillas received the Governing Council of the Region of Murcia aid of 140,000 euros for the improvement of road cleaning, waste collection and promotion of public awareness on environmental protection.
To do this, in order to reduce waste generation, it will provide a local sweeper street cleaning of the village.
This aid is financed 80% by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and 20% own funds, provided by the Ministry of the Presidency.
"The objective of this assistance is to promote environmental awareness and education, in order to spread in society the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills aimed at protecting the environment," said Councilman Torrena Environment, Inmaculada Fernández.
