Students of Secondary Education (IES) No 2 Cotillas Towers, located in the district of La Florida, visited last Wednesday, February 12th Air Base and School Paracadismo "Mendez save" in the village of Murcia Sangonera La Seca.
There Torreño students were received by the military in charge of guiding and later attended the screening of an introductory video about the last 60 years of history of the base and skydiving.
Later, the students toured military facilities and especially the practice field, where the paratroopers learn to jump into the void.
By the time lunch, students enjoyed a snack in the same hangar where military planes await to perform their jumps.
The Unit of Freestyle Skydiving base offered a special jump in which the students could enjoy as spectators exception.
Students could also get on airplanes and visit the spectacular wind tunnel where the military conditions simulate a parachute jump.
