The official chronicler Cotillas Towers, Ricardo Montes, presented on the night of Thursday March 20 at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" the Torreño his first novel, entitled "Aluleig Solomon, the Jew of Murcia" showing the history of Jewish and Christian Murcia in the fourteenth century.
Framed in traditional "Literary Thursday" of the "Literary Association Towers", the event was chaired by Montes himself Councilwoman Local Culture, Gloria Fernández and the president of the association, the poet Salvador Sandoval.
In this book, the president of the Association of Official Reporters of the Region of Murcia shows the history of Jewish and Christian Murcia through the figure of Aluleig, a Jewish tailor who was persecuted to death and who eventually married a Jewish woman Cotillas Towers.
Montes fail this tailor history to show the reader life in Murcia at the time, where Jewry "came to have 1,200 Jews, 10% of the population of that time."
