Torreño players signed a magnificent participation in the Regional Badminton Championship played at junior level (U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19) and veterans in the morning of Saturday 22 March at the Municipal Sports Pavilion Cotillas Towers.

Thus, local players raised a total of eleven seats first and two seconds, which confirms the potential of Cotillas Towers in this sport in our region.

Thus, in the veterans category Torreño were eight first places: Manolo Berrocal (Men's Individual +30 years), and Antonio Berrocal Manolo Brao (men's doubles +30 years), Antonio Brao (Men's Individual +40 years), two Manolo Yagües (individual and men's doubles +45 years), Cándido Osorio (Men's Individual +55 years), Antonio Brao (men's singles in general category) and Manolo Antonio Berrocal and Brao (men's doubles in general category).

Moreover, they stood with two second places: Carmelo Bathrooms (Men's Individual +30 years) and Manolo Berrocal (men's singles in general category).

Meanwhile, at lower joined top three: José María Turpin (Men's Singles U-15), M ª Nieves Brao (U-15 women's singles) and Ivan Turpin Egidos and José María (U-17 men's doubles).

"Participants came about 60 players from various clubs in the Region of Murcia," said the mayor of Sports Torreño, Ginés Pérez Iniesta, who presided over the awards ceremony for the best in each category at the end of the tournament.
