4th students of Secondary Education (ESO) IES "Salvador Sandoval" Cotillas Towers became one of two prizes of the national stage of the competition "Do the right thing: save the forest", consisting of a trip Romania to enjoy a school exchange with Italian and Romanian students in Bucharest.
These awards have been granted by ACSUR within the "Forest in the World" project, whose purpose is the education for sustainable development and responsible forest management worldwide.
Recipients of this experience have been young torreños Adrián Rodríguez, Paula Lorente, Maria Freixinos, Santiago Sandoval, who visited Romania last between 18 and 22 March on a trip in which they were accompanied by their teachers and Pedro Jesús López Peinado.
The official award ceremony will take place at the Artillery Barracks Murcia on 3 April, during the inauguration of photo exhibition and screening of documentaries on sustainable and responsible management of forests in the world of this project .
A proposal that is funded by the European Commission and the participating countries europeoscomo Italy, Malta, Romania, Poland and España.Su main objective is to raise awareness of students between 11 and 18 years on the use of forests and consumption resources.
