Students of Denmark, Ireland and Austria, along with their teachers, visited the school in Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary (CEIPS) "Susarte" Cotillas Towers last week, in an experience of educational exchange program drawn in European "Comenius".
These foreign students lived with families Torrena between 23 and 29 March, and conducted various activities at school and in the afternoon departures for places like Murcia, Cartagena, La Manga del Mar Menor or the municipality itself Cotillas Towers and enjoy the cuisine of our region.
Moreover, in the afternoon of Thursday, 28 March were received in the Meeting Room of Torreño by the deputy mayor of the town, Pedro Cabrera, at an official reception ended with delivery of gifts to visitors and guided tour of these municipal facilities.
The "Comenius Project" is based on the promotion of renewable energies, therefore, foreign students and welcoming the "Susarte" built a waterwheel producing electricity.
"It has been an enriching experience for all students and teachers, a project in which they have shared knowledge, values, promotion of the English language and methodologies," says a Torreño center.
"Without a doubt, our school will be recorded the visit of these students and teachers because we focus on intercultural exchange, regardless of race, ethnicity or national origin," explained from the "Susarte".
