Cuban writer Maikel Rico winner of the "V International Poetry Contest Montero Carmen Medina", organized by the "Carmen Montero Medina Foundation" and the City of Las Torres de Cotillas proclaimed.
The Havana resident author was awarded the prize of 500 euros in cash with his "Walls, abysses", but could not pick it up in person at the ceremony held on Friday March 28 at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna "Torrena.
The evening was chaired by Mayor Torreño Domingo Coronado, and the president of the association, self Carmen Montero.
During the event it received a fringe of recognition for his 55 published works by her editor, Manuel Ortíz ("Nausicaä and Azarbe").
The theme of the essay competition was free and he could participate with unpublished works written in Castilian-older writers from all over the world.
