The Department Health, Environment, Agriculture, Water and Services City of Las Torres de Cotillas through the company "Hidrogea" started this week treatments and exterminating the municipal sewer this year.
"As in previous years, the concessionaire of drinking water and sewerage is carrying out work to control insect and rodent pests in our town," says area councilor Torrena, Inmaculada Fernández.
The annual campaign has two treatments carried out in May and August, in order to reduce the incidence of these pests.
Are treated around 500 records in the entire municipality, including districts and neighborhoods, with particular emphasis on those areas where the presence of these pests is more evident.
Treatments include the placement of rodenticide bait logs sewer and routed to control the cockroach (Periplaneta americana) and sewer fly insecticide treatment.
