The "Amateur Theatre Contest III John Bath" Towers Cotillas concluded on Saturday October 25 the trio of performances in competition with the staging of the play "Crossing", representing the group "The Tea Tro" (Rivas-Vaciamadrid) and that "the actors were placed on the skin of many immigrants seeking a better life," says Torrena Councillor for Culture, Gloria Fernandez.
This festival, organized by the Department of Culture Torrena in collaboration with the local theater group "Tejuba" distributed almost 2,000 dollars in prizes and before Saturday had seen go through the stage of the House of "Pedro Serna" Culture Torrena three works.
First acted the "Teatro del Matadero" group (La Alberca, Murcia) with the work "Angelina or honor of a brigadier", the second performance was "The Woman in Black" by the group eldense "Empire Theatre" and the third was the book "The Jump Lefkada" staged by the group "Sako Creations" (Madrid).
Juicy prizes
On the closing day of the event, to be held on Saturday November 8th (20:30 pm), there will be an awards ceremony seeking to recognize the effort and quality of participants: 1,000 and 500 euros for the first and second group classified respectively;
200 euros and a trophy for Best Actor and Best Actress;
and trophy for each of the best actor and actress.
"The organization also contributes $ 300 per participant for expenses of travel group," said Councilman Torrena Culture, Gloria Fernandez.
On this last evening, and out of competition, amateur local group "Tejuba" delight the audience with a performance of "Don Juan Tenorio", one of the most characteristic works of his repertoire.
