The "Amateur Theatre Contest III John Bath" Towers Cotillas already winning.

This is the group "Creations Sako" (Madrid), whose book "The Jump Lefkada" won the prize of 500 euros granted by the contest organizers, the Department of Culture Torrena and the local group "Tejuba" .

The winning piece, set in classical antiquity, also won the award for Best Actress, which went to Helena Lanza.

The awards were presented last night at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena on a date that was attended Torreño mayor, Domingo Coronado, and the mayor of Culture, Gloria Fernandez.

During the evening the local amateur group "Tejuba" -and delighted the attendees outside contest- with a performance of "Don Juan Tenorio", one of the most characteristic works of his repertoire.

The jury awarded the following prizes:

First place team (trophy and 1,000 euros): "The Jump Lefkada" from "Creations Sako" (Madrid).

Runner group (trophy and $ 500): "The Woman in Black" from "Empire Theatre".

Best Actor (200 euros and a trophy): Pedro Garcia, for the role of Arthur Martin and Manuel Calvo in "The Woman in Black".

Best Actress (200 euros and a trophy): Helena Lanza, the Agia role in "The Break Lefkada."

Best Actor (trophy): Ortín Manolo for the role of Don Justo's work "Angelina or honor of a brigadier" of "Teatro del Matadero" (La Alberca, Murcia).

Best Actress (trophy): Pepa Bascuñana the role of Calixta in "Angelina or honor of a brigadier."

Best Director (trophy): Cristina Santamaria for "Cruises" clustering "The Tea Tro" (Rivas-Vaciamadrid).

Audience Award (Trophy): "Crossings"

Four great works

This festival had been going through the stage of the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torrena four splendid works throughout the month of October.

First acted the "Teatro del Matadero" group (La Alberca, Murcia) with the work "Angelina or honor of a brigadier";

The second performance was "The Woman in Black" by the group eldense "Empire Theatre";

and the third was the play "Jump Lefkada" staged by the group "Sako Creations" (Madrid).

The last work in bidding was "Crossings", which was performed last Saturday October 25 by the group "The Tea Tro" (Rivas-Vaciamadrid).
