On Sunday November 16 (9:30 pm) will be held in Las Torres de Cotillas the first round of the Regional League Cross, which this year celebrates its 29th edition-organized by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia ( FAMU) in collaboration with the local Sports Council and the "Athletics Club Towers."

The Natural Park of the Issuer Torreño municipality, next to the sports center, will host this event to be held in the following ways, both men and women: baby, juvenile, kids, cadet, junior, junior, promise, and senior Veteran A and B.

Evidence has been presented on the morning of Wednesday 12 November in the Plenary Hall of the local council by the mayor Torreño Sports, Ginés Pérez Iniesta and FAMU president, Juan Manuel Molina.

"There are now eleven editions which have been held in our town and, therefore, we can say that this race has become a highly anticipated and identified in the schedule of all the runners cross country event," said the mayor which stated that "the participation of 600 runners from all over the Murcia geography and even beyond, with athletes from Albacete, Alicante, Almeria or Granada" is expected.

Open Competition

This year, in addition to competing federated athletes may also participate amateur runners and even school, so an invitation was sent to all schools in the Torreño.

"It's a circuit of moderate intensity, with little slope, which makes it advisable to open the Regional League Cross" stressed Molina.

A test that will involve the collaboration of the local body of Civil Protection, the local police, sports volunteers, businesses "Leit-Sport", "Coca-Cola" and "Hero", and the Catholic University San Antonio that trainees bring to support the organization of the event.

The medal to be awarded to the top three finishers in each event and category, plus the club with more participants-athletes will be held from 13.30 and will include the participation of Iniesta and Perez Molina .
