The Councillor for Culture of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas, Gloria Fernández, and the president of "Carmen Montero Foundation", Maria Angeles Moragues, presented on the morning of Tuesday 18 November the sixth edition of "International Poetry Competition Carmen Montero Medina ", in which organization collaborate both entities.
For this edition the poetry competition has increased the funding for the perm for the winner, from 500-800 euros in subsidized Consistory Torreño cash.
"This is a contest and becomes entrenched in the national and even international literary scene," said Fernandez, who recalls that the award last year was for the Cuban author Maikel Rico with his "Walls, abysses".
The theme of this literary contest is free and it can participate with unpublished works written in Castilian writers adults from all over the world.
The deadline for work expires next February 14 and the awards ceremony will take place in Las Torres de Cotillas at a date yet to be determined.
