The "Columbares" association launched in the Carmen district of Las Torres de Cotillas community revitalization program stems from an agreement reached with the Consistory Torreño last November.

This program will act in various areas, such as prevention of educational exclusion, through educational support in small groups of a maximum of 10 students, with specific attention to students with learning deficits.
To complement these activities, provides for the delivery of aid for school supplies to children who are in particularly vulnerable situations whose families can not afford these costs by lack of funds.
In addition, a leisure intercultural, where children and youth from the neighborhood can develop various sports, cultural or environmental activities will be created, promoting intercultural coexistence and mutual enrichment.
"Are ongoing educational support activities and entertainment young and healthy Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 15.30 to 19.30 hours," says Almela.
Also, a set of activities aimed at improving employability and promote social and labor inclusion of young people 16-20 years with greater social risk in the area will be made.

Intercultural community revitalization will also work with participatory activities, recreational and cultural activities that allow regenerate the area, while links between communities and entities that coexist in the area are established, promoting intercultural coexistence and social cohesion.
Also adding workshops teaching Spanish language, social and work skills, and maternal and child health will be conducted as well as aid be established to cover basic needs in health for mothers at high risk of social exclusion with children / as children under 2 years (to cover the costs of infant formula, diapers, medicines, etc.).
