Over 200 students of Secondary Education (IES) "Salvador Sandoval" Cotillas Towers participated Wednesday December 17 in the second edition of the "Race Solidarity Christmas" center, a test that raised funds for the organization "Save the Children".
If last year the 600 euros achieved in the race went to Ethiopia, this year's solidarity Torreño students who have achieved economic dimensions have as heading the like Mali and children will go less than 5 years of that country.
With a circuit around the center with an approximate length of 400 meters, the test has been divided into categories and have even participated in it some teachers as the race was open to all members of the school community, including parents.
"Each participant provided a symbolic monetary amount depending on the number of turns to give," said the center's director, Jesús López, who notes that this charity race is included in a series of events that are taking place in this Torreño Institute for this week, such as solidarity collected toys, food and books.
