Students in 4th of ESO IES "Salvador Sandoval" Cotillas Towers opened in the afternoon of Wednesday January 28 the "School Debate League III" promoted by the educational foundation "Active-t" with the support of the BBVA Volunteer Office.
The start of this initiative, in which 115 secondary schools from all over Spain, led the torreños students to discuss with their counterparts in the IES "Mr. Francisco Cascales" of Murcia on thematic chairing this call 2014-15: science as a threat or not for Humanity and the ban or not to download and online viewing of films and television series.
The first round of debate among students of both schools was held in Murcia classroom Torreño audiovisual institute, coordinated by their teachers of Philosophy, Isabel Zuniga, and Latin-Greek, Concepción Vicente.
Later, in the months of February and March, will arrive phases quarterfinals, semifinals and final will decide which team in the region is the best in this field.
Complementary activities
As a complementary proposal to this league Educational Foundation "Active-t" has organized the "First Contest Fotodebate and Videodebate".
The initiative, equally open to all students in secondary and high schools, students looking to express their views on the topics proposed in that school league using video and / or photography as a support.
