The City of Las Torres de Cotillas invests over 55,000 euros in improving parks, streets and pedestrian fords (16/02/2015)

The City of Las Torres de Cotillas, through its Department of Municipal Works, recently completed a significant package of measures to renew both its road infrastructure as public lighting, which have benefited from higher to 55,000 euros investment.

"With these actions we have taken a quick response to meet the needs of our neighbors, increasing your comfort and safety," said the mayor of the area, Alfonso Sandoval.

In this line of improvements included the remodeling of Park Street Andres Segovia, a work in which "we proceeded to street furniture under both its playground and its interior streets," explains Torreño.

Other works that have been carried out are: the repair of various sidewalks in the streets Oltra Molto, Bartolomé Ródenas and Rio Guadalquivir and Avenue Los Vicentes;

remodeling of roads in Salceda and South streets;

construction of pedestrian fords for the disabled and people with disabilities in various sections of sidewalk neighborhood of Los Vicentes and Paseo Fernández Jara;

and installing a chute to redirect water from rain on the street east.

Also it is acting to restore part of the wiring of lighting, which in recent times is undergoing constant robberies in the city.

These works, which feature a round of 18,000 euros, is being conducted in six areas of the city: the Avenue of the pulpit, from Valencia Street Roundabout access to developments (423 meters);

the Industrial "5 Towers" (535 meters);

Round West Street and Ataúlfo Argenta and adjacent (740 meters);

the Industrial "Los Llanos" (1432 meters);

Anton Tobalo street from the rotunda of Florida Street Netherlands (332 meters);

and San Pedro Road, from the junction of the entrance to the hamlet of Condomina to Los Carriles (350 meters).

"All these actions involve blinding of existing manholes, sealing them with sand and cement to prevent further thefts," said Sandoval.
