After five months of existence the project components of popular unit Ganemos Las Torres have chosen the candidature to be presented to the municipal elections next May 24 Change the name of Las Torres.
Independent Christopher Vicente Martínez was unanimously elected to head candidature on integrating independent social groups and individuals, members of United Left-Greens, Podemos personally, and Socialist Alternative.
This has been decided in the Citizens' Assembly in which besides the basic program of 15 points will defend candidacy in the election campaign and will be the basis for the actions of elected officials to get the nomination was agreed.
Win the Torres was presented as a political alternative to the PP in Las Torres de Cotillas, draft popular unit has clear vocation to represent the social majority of the municipality and expects the support of the citizens of the Torres to change the government and policies in the municipality.
Change the Torres has selected eleven people who make up the government team led by Christopher Vicente who follow the order listed: Patricia Costa (IU-Greens), Angel Tortosa (we), Sandra Fernández (UJCE), Michelangelo García Garres (IU-Greens), Inmaculada Navarro (Independiente), Daniel Garcia (Independent), Encarni Muñoz (Independent), Antonio J. García (Independiente) Silvia García (Independent) and Francisco Hernandez (IU-Greens).
The candidacy of Change Las Torres is presented with the aim to wrest an absolute majority Popular Party in the town and is based on the plurality to start a new path on which the opinion of the residents is taken into account in the decisions taken by the municipal government.
Among the initiatives carried out by Change Las Torres is conducting an audit of the finances of the municipality;
a plan against social insecurity and poverty, rejection of evictions and power outages and water;
a plan for employment and youth participation, defense of small businesses and small businesses;
and the monthly accountability of the government team;
access to sport, culture and leisure, as well as access to municipal facilities for use and enjoyment to individuals and families in a precarious social position.
To Change The Torres a modification of General Urban Plan which takes into account the point of view of municipal associations so that it serves the interests of citizens and not speculation is necessary;
facilitate the work of voluntary organizations and social groups, among other measures promoting the free use of municipal premises;
policy making job creation and the creation of a bag of municipal employment;
and developing a plan for cultural promotion through neighborhoods using decentralized neighborhood centers, enhancing the participation of cultural associations of the town.
