The fourth edition of the literary "poet Salvador Sandoval Young Talent Award" competition, organized by the Literary Association "Las Torres" and the Department of Culture Cotillas Towers, already has its winners.
On Friday April 24 four students from schools in the municipality received at the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" their winnings, which totaled 1,300 euros.
The contest was divided into two types: A, for high school students and vocational training under 20 years;
and B, for students of Secondary Education (ESO).
Also, each modality consisted of two categories: poem, verses 14 to 30;
or short story, between one and three pages.
Four winners
Thus, the best story mode was Edward A Armijos (IES "Salvador Sandoval"), a prize of 375 euros with his work "The oriental legend Supernova" was, while in mode B the winner was Francisco José Rodríguez (school "Divine Master"), which took 275 euros with his piece "Shades of Rwanda."
Meanwhile, in the section of the best poems in the form A was that of Yadira Carrión (Vocational Training Centre "Virgen de la Salceda") entitled "Unforgettable Moments" and which won 375 euros.
Meanwhile, in the mode B wrote the best composition Álvaro Martínez (school "Divine Master"), who with his "I want to write something simple" pocketed 275 euros.
The awards were presented by Councilwoman Torrena Personal, Lorena Lara, in an evening where the winners read before the audience their works.
