The Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness and Shire Cieza (AFEMCE) won Thursday May 21 in the eighth edition of the Regional League football "Pro Mental Health".

Whose final day tournament organized for the second consecutive year the Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness Murcia (AFES) at City Hall in Las Torres de Cotillas, in collaboration with the Department of Sports Torrena.

With a total of 85 participants, this last day was ending seven months of intense sports competition.

In total there were eight associations participating non-profit (AFEMTO, AFEMAC, AFESMO, AFEMCE, ASOFEM, AFEMNOR, APICES and AFES), which work on the rehabilitation and improvement of the quality of life of people with mental illness and in claiming their rights.

Since 2007

"This tournament has its origins in 2007, when a group of professionals from various associations among them AFES- included in Murcia Federation of Associations of Families and Persons with disease (FEAFES) decided to start it with the aim of physical exercise , promotion of healthy habits and the promotion of social relations disabled by chronic mental illness "point from the organization, who remember that this tournament was awarded in 2014 by the" XXXIII Awards Murciano Sport "by the courage and sacrifice in sports.

AFES account in Las Torres de Cotillas with a day-and-home residence, serving 50 people with mental illness as well as a day center in Murcia which serves 100 users.
