The Secondary School (IES) "Salvador Sandoval" Las Torres de Cotillas held on Friday May 29 a special day, as students of 2nd Baccalaureate graduated.
For this special day, the center had in the morning with a visit flashy: the popular singer Ruth Lorenzo, a native of Las Torres de Cotillas, shared with over 400 young people their experiences in a talk on self-improvement.
Delivered in a packed media room, the artist confessed to students was particularly excited to come back to the school where he studied Secondary and spoke of how he has managed to achieve their dreams.
A visit in which the recurrent phrase was "Let us fulfill our dreams!"
and in which he did not miss the music, as the Eurovision singer performed several of his songs, such as "Ugly Duckling".
All the House of Culture
In the afternoon, the House of the "Pedro Serna" Culture of the municipality hosted the official graduation ceremony for students of 2nd Baccalaureate.
There was not a spare seat in the enclosure, as with the 72 graduating students accompanied by their families and many teachers who wanted to share with them this special moment.
It was an exciting event in which the speeches of the school head, the president of AMPA, the students themselves and Rosario Jimenez, professor at the Institute of Physics and Chemistry, who gave a special lecture on "acids and bases were heard "and its similarity to life.
Also they acted several high school students, who delighted the audience with his artistic skills.
The event ended with the screening of a video in which students showed their wonderful step over six years by the Torreño institute.
