The City of Las Torres de Cotillas is conducting this week cleaning and clearing the Station Park, located next to the municipal sports facilities of the town and the antenna Spain National Radio (RNE).
The aim of this work is to minimize the risk of fires in the area during the summer, where high temperatures that hit the town increase the likelihood of occurrence of such incidents.
"In total we will proceed with the cleaning of a total of 58,000 m2 that were in a poor state of cleanliness due to excessive growth of weeds," explains Councillor for Environment, Inmaculada Fernandez, who notes that "these lands are much frequented by sportsmen and hikers for physical exercise outdoors. "
