The Ministry of Education and Universities will carry out the expansion of the College and Primary 'San Jose', located in the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas.
Specifically, this center is planned which will involve an investment totaling 1.3 million euros in the next two years, EU-funded ERDF.
This was announced today by the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, after holding a working meeting with the local mayor, Domingo Coronado.
The counselor, who explained that the investment will be made during 2016 and 2017, with a budget of 1,051,687 euros the first year and the remaining amount the second stressed that the regional government "makes an important effort to further improve the network of centers education in the region, in this case, in collaboration with the City of Las Torres de Cotillas. "
The aim is that "all students have the best infrastructure to contribute to quality education and achieving greater academic success," said Sanchez-Mora, adding that "the expansion and improvement that will take place in this center adds to the actions undertaken by the regional government in education in the city in recent years. "
Sanchez-Mora explained that "they are meeting the parameters of the regional strategy '+ Educational Quality + School Success', currently under evaluation, better schools, more teachers and scholarships as a pillar in this school year."
In the CEIP 'San Jose' de Las Torres de Cotillas 158 studied 348 students in kindergarten and primary.
