A clear and resounding no to gender violence.
That is what has been heard once again in Las Torres de Cotillas occasion of the celebration of the events to mark the international day against this social scourge, which is commemorated every year on 25 November.
Some activities have been organized by the Department of Equality and have now received a double proposal.
This morning the school "Joaquin Cantero" has staged an emotional ceremony that was chaired by the deputy local mayor, Ángel González, and the Councillor for Equality, María Dolores Sánchez, who has read a manifesto against violence gender.
In addition, children from the center have staged a symbolic release of white balloons to show their revulsion against such violence.
Since this evening activities have moved to the House of Culture "Pedro Serna", where children have participated in a storyteller and a creative workshop for equality by Miriam Oller.
More activities
These events began on Saturday November 21 with "I Walk Against Gender Violence", with the slogan "Patina or go, but ... MOVE !!!" was held early in the Later leaving from the square Adolfo Suarez.
An initiative co-organized by the "Jacaranda" association, which was jointly and severally benefit of "Avida" (Association against domestic violence in the Region of Murcia) and managed to raise over 1,000 euros to combat this social scourge.
With the assistance of the Director General of Women, Alicia Barquero, the march had hundreds of participants who braved the weather and walk or skate raised their voice against gender violence by torreñas streets.
At the end of the route, some participants were still forces them to join the musical and dance fitness session held in the Plaza Adolfo Suarez.
