Raise funds so that no child in Las Torres de Cotillas is left without a toy at Christmas.
That is the objective of the second edition of the charity initiative "Light up your smile", with which the Sunday December 27 (19 hours) 2,500 colored lanterns will be launched in the Plaza Adolfo Suarez Torreño.
An intimate, crowded and spectacular evening designed for the whole family and will be set to music.
This proposal was presented on the morning of Monday 21 December in local council, in a ceremony presided by the Councillor for Social Services, Maria Dolores Sanchez, the president of "Trade Area Towers" (ACLT), Francisco Juan Jimenez, and Jose Sanchez, Consistory worker and promoter of this initiative.
"The lanterns cost 3 euros and their collection will be for the Magi may acquire in shops in town gifts for children from disadvantaged families in the village," says the mayor.
"So we meet two objectives: make the Christmas dreams of many small and stimulate local trade," notes Sanchez, who recalled that the tickets can now be purchased at ACLT establishments and the City Council.
In this event they collaborate "Sound howled," the women's association "Isabel Gonzalez", "Verabril Communication", the "Sound of Solidarity" project, the Evangelical Association "New Life", "Parish Caritas" and the association "Fedde Fulbe".
