28 students of the "Lycée Albert Camus" in the French town of Firminy are student exchange with many other students of IES "Salvador Sandoval" Las Torres de Cotillas.
This is the seventh edition of the program shared by both schools, framed in the European project "Comenius".
Until Thursday these French students who are accompanied by four of their teachers are on Spanish territory, in a travel schedule that includes knowing localities like Orihuela, Murcia, Aguilas, Cartagena and, of course, Las Torres de Cotillas.
A visit, as is tradition, will be returned by their "brothers" torreños in early March.
Friday February 5 Torreño mayor, Domingo Coronado, the consul of France in the Region of Murcia, Philippe Cazeaux, and the Councillor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, dispensed a reception for French students in the local council.
In this event the 56 participating students Gauls and received as a gift torreños- works of the author Carmen Montero Medina.
In addition, Coronado recalled that the great relationship between the two schools has transcended the classroom to the point where full municipal Torreño approved on Monday 1 February the start of a process of twinning between the two municipalities.
