The amateur theater group "Tejuba" Las Torres de Cotillas celebrating its 50th anniversary and has therefore prepared a 2016 full of activities and performances, when they are in the Torreño be in the House of Culture "Pedro Serna "with free entry.
A golden wedding that were presented in the hall of the local council on Friday Feb. 5 in a ceremony presided by the Torreño mayor, Domingo Coronado, the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Maria Zapata, and the director of the theater group itself, Joaquín Cantero.
After the performance last January traditional "Auto Sacramental of Kings", on Saturday February 27 the House of "Pedro Serna" Culture Torrena host the performance of "Love with a capital", which will work the " Literary Association Towers ".
In March the activity will triple.
First on Friday 11 March on "Tejuba" act at school, "Marist" of Cartagena, where for solidarity will stage "The Revenge of Don Mendo" immortal work of Pedro Muñoz Seca, that representation has Torreño the participation of about 20 actors.
On Sunday March 13 the activities back to Las Torres de Cotillas with "The Arrest", while on Sunday March 20 the same work will be displayed in the "Victoria Theatre" White in an event organized by the local council to benefit the brotherhoods of the municipality.
More activities
On Friday April 1, on the occasion of "World Theatre Day" amateur actors represented in the House Torrena "Revenge of Don Mendo" one of the classics of his repertoire Culture.
In May the 1st celebrate the "Mother's Day" on the same stage, while Saturday May 21 Torrena tables carried the play "A house of trouble," Alvaro Portes.
Saturday June 18 also in the local House of Culture on "Tejuba" will celebrate its grand gala to celebrate this half century of existence and the next month, specifically on July 30, they have scheduled a performance of "The House of Bernarda Alba ".

September has been set a trip to Almagro (Saturday 10 and Sunday 11), while October will come a new edition of the contest of amateur theater "Juan Bath" every year organizes Torreño group.

Saturday November 5 will be the closing of this contest, with the corresponding awards and interpretation by torreños of "The old jealous."

More than 40 people
The "Tejuba" group is composed of amateur performers and has never stopped producing theater.
An activity which unites more than 40 people aged from one year to the seventies, because it has a large pool of players to ensure the continuity of this group.
Founded by John Bath, this group has traveled all municipalities of the Region of Murcia, and other neighboring communities such as Almería, Albacete and Alicante.
In their repertoire you can find sketches, appetizers, classical theater and drama and mystery plays today.
