The Volunteers Platform Murcia presented on Monday November 17 in Las Torres de Cotillas the project "Ride The Peace Is Possible", an activity aimed to raise awareness and disseminate in our region the values of peace, understood as a source of and basic welfare for all human and social progress in our community.
The caravan was located during the day at the Esplanade Master Angel Palazón (across from City Hall) and the volunteers reported to the citizens of the various associations that are participating in this project.
In the afternoon, the initiative shifted to the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" Torreño municipality, where they held a ceremony for peace with free admission.
This was an exhibition of posters, as well as audiovisual presentations and reading a manifesto for peace to explain to the audience the possibilities of improvements in human well promoted this project with its promotion and development of a " Culture of Peace. "
A culture that promotes respect for life, human dignity, values and attitudes that reflect and inspire participation.
This project comes with an inclusive, intercultural approach, and an educational perspective as a way to work together from different areas of a culture of peace.
Throughout the Region
This project will cover the 45 municipalities of our region for three months.
Thus began life on 21 September, coinciding with the celebration of International Peace Day, and ends on December 21.
