Tomorrow, December 5th is celebrated around the world the "International Volunteer Day" and volunteers Cotillas Towers, those who do make the town a more participatory and supportive people, will join the celebration.
For this and from the 9.30 hours, spread in the weekly market in the town, accompanied by Social Services staff Torreño-brochures on the program in which cooperate and inform residents of the program with the aim of increasing volunteers bag.
A bag has nine members currently serving thirteen families in the municipality.
Another initiative to commemorate this date took place last November 28 when a dinner was held with them to share experiences and celebrate this day in advance.
This meal was attended by the Councillor for Social Policy and Public Safety local, Fina Almela, thanked him for his selfless work on behalf of all Torreño and, more specifically, of the beneficiary families.
More than a year of work
The Volunteer Program was launched in Las Torres de Cotillas last year, funded by the Directorate General of Immigration and Volunteer Regional Government, with the aim of improving the living conditions of all citizens through voluntary action of people committed and supportive.
In the first phase were carried out awareness work among the people, through advertising and presentations to various groups and associations in the municipality.
This act was a bag of volunteers, who since 2008 have participated in training and have commenced work in the town Torreño.
