On the afternoon of Monday 19 January was held in Las Torres de Cotillas the first of three planned collected books and school supplies to good use for Spanish-speaking children in schools and community centers in countries such as Peru and Nicaragua.
One activity included in the "Book Project", sponsored by the Directorate General of Environmental Quality of the Ministry of Industry and Environment, and the Department of Environment, Agriculture and Water Torrena participating for the second consecutive year.
Thus, volunteers, members of the Association of Women "Isabel Serna" of the municipality, selected and packed textbooks and educational materials for later shipment to final destination.
A repeated work next January 22 (17 hours) and 27 January (10 hours) and showing that the figure of the municipal parks can go further, collaborating not only in the proper management of hazardous waste and bulky, but that can also serve as a collection of reusable materials.
Promoting sustainable development
With the slogan "Share the recycling culture" and the basic objective of reuse, this initiative aims to assist the growth and progress of these countries by promoting sustainable development through the reuse of materials and infrastructure Ecoparks Network Region of Murcia.
It also seeks recovery of these materials, which otherwise would become waste, delivering it in depressed areas of Spanish-speaking Americas.
