The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, opened today, accompanied by the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, the new road connecting the town of this municipality and the Northwest motorway (RM-15), action has been executed under the agreement signed between the Autonomous Community and the City Torreño.
The new road, which has been incorporated into the National Road Network of the Autonomous Region with the name RM-B37, makes connecting Cotillas Towers with the regions of Mula and Northwest River, releasing to the industrial and agricultural products municipality.
In this sense, José Ballesta stressed that "it is a large-scale action that provides more than 20,000 residents of Las Torres de Cotillas a direct connection to the Northwest Highway, at the height of Sale Joy, thereby advancing socio-economic relations and trade of the town, promoting the economic development of the Shire. "
The investment in this action, executed by a company of Murcia, has been 5.5 million euros and has involved the construction of more than six new miles of road that will enhance accessibility to nearby towns and foster tourism in the area .
The new road has a total width of 11 meters and consists of two lanes of 3.50 meters, 1.50 meter shoulders and a safety margin of 0.50 meters.
Have also enabled service roads parallel to the main road to provide access to adjacent properties.
Moreover, the Minister stressed that "to ensure road safety for drivers, have built three roundabouts along the route and have installed speed bumps bands and protective barriers designed to protect motorists, one of the groups more vulnerable on the road. "
Meeting point in infrastructure

Also, apart from improving the road infrastructure, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Housing and Architecture, presented last year a grant of 400,000 euros to the City of Las Torres Cotillas for the drafting of the proposed construction of the new Auditorium and Arts Center in the municipality.
