That is the opportunity for several weeks provided the exhibition "Africa, house of words" in the Young Artists Center Towers Cotillas and Torreño schoolchildren took until last week, the date of conclusion of this proposal.
Sponsored by the Regional Library in collaboration with the local Department of Culture, it has attracted in the municipality Torreño over 700 visitors.
Thus, the students of 1 to Primary 6 and 1 and 2 of Township High enjoyed this interactive show, which offered an educational tour for the culture, history, fauna, rituals and folk traditions of the African continent.
To this end, the show raised interactivity with the tasks proposed by the six letters of the word "Africa."
Thus, each of them was related to a game or activity, such as linking the geography of Africa from the scene of well-known novels and films like "Five Weeks in a Balloon," "Tarzan" or "Out of Africa ' "An explanation of the symbolism of the characters in their tales and stories, or find the meaning of traditional proverbs tracks of a wise old man.
Fun and learning
The exhibition also featured sculpture, paintings and photographs, the latter accompanied by texts whose aim was to reflect on the cost of health and the needs presented by the African continent.
This exhibition, which also had a small library of books related to the theme has been an "attractive and fun tool for our school to form a different vision of the African continent, away from influence and bias," said Councilman Culture Torreño, Domingo Cava, also noting that "have learned and enjoyed the activities proposed."
