Cotillas Towers is still the scene of four preparatory workshops for the "School Board Meeting IX Region of Murcia", whose songs are this year's reading and family.

Encourage reading

The objectives of these initiatives is to promote reading to improve academic performance, reflect on the current state of reading, involving families in reading and encourage collaboration between families and teachers and to provide guidance to encourage reading.

Similarly, another of its aims is to propose measures for improvement in reading practice and to know the literary experience from the point of view of the writer.

The thematic content of these proposals are: the family and the transmission of reading, reading and literature, the construction of the family library as a task, language and knowledge, personal experiences of reading and writing, and collaboration between parents and teachers.

In addition, the basic structure of the seminar requires that, after input from the speaker, participants contribute their ideas and suggestions.

With kindergarten service

During the seminars, the Department of Education, Tourism, neighborhoods and districts of Las Torres de Cotillas is put at the service of parents who wish to attend these seminars a kindergarten service.

Cotillas Towers will also host the final meeting, scheduled for Saturday 25 April.
