The municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas held in the evening of Saturday 14 March, the fifth edition of "Sports Gala, organized by the Department of Sports City, which annually awards the best athletes Torreño of the season.
The evening was held at the Casa de la Cultura "Pedro Serna" in the town and the event was attended, among others, the first deputy mayor Torrena, Fina Almela, Councillor for Sports of the Consistory, Juan Carlos Martinez the winners, municipal authorities and local residents.
Among the awards were dedicated to the collaboration and promote the sport Torreño, which this year has gone to the local company "Power Logistics Group," another path to a life dedicated to sport award went to the great man Antonio Serna Verdú football, and prize promotion and development of grassroots sport, which went to the AD Cotillas CF in the hands of its president, Antonio Durán Fernández.
Also, there was also a special recognition for Ros Isidro Ríos, member of the Municipal School football and sadly died in September 2007.

In addition, shared a number of awards for sporting recognition for the feats achieved in 2008, divided into three blocks: the regional runners-up, the regional champions and national champions.
So, were recognized Macanás Francisco Javier Fernandez, regional runner-up in 65 cc motocross, Fran Torres Castro, regional runner-up in 50 cc motocross, Carlos Valiente Fernández, regional runner Pit Cross, José Antonio Valiente Gómez, regional cross country runner; Sergio Jornet Liesa, regional champion school cross fry, Juan José Pérez Guerrero, regional champion 600 and 1,000 meter dash and regional champion 1,500-meter hurdles, Carlos Fernández Macanás, regional motocross champion Murcia CC class of 85 pledges and champion regional supercross Valencia and Castilla La Mancha in category promises of 85 CC, Emilio Egea Serna, regional champion in cross country senior category B, the team bowls La Salceda, formed by Pedro José López Sánchez, Andrés López Eusebio Sánchez and Andrés López Guirao, triplets regional champion, Cristina Pérez Gil, winner of Spain with Murcia selection of indoor soccer in cadet category, and the club's team archery Orion, champion of Spain archery standard in both individual (Damian Ordóñez) as a whole.
In addition to the awards ceremony during the "V Sports Gala" held an audiovisual review the highlights of the season for each of the winners.
Support local sports
The celebration of the "V Sports Gala" coincides with the implementation of several major sports works that are taking the town of Las Torres de Cotillas infrastructural level.
