The grass field Polideportivo Municipal de Las Torres de Cotillas has hosted this past weekend the "VIII Championship Spain Traditional Archery" and "VI Championship of Spain Archery naked, some tournaments that told the audience, which enjoyed free admission, with the great performances of the archers participating.
In the traditional recurve bow tournament champions were María Díez (Castilla y Leon) and Juan Antonio Pérez (Extremadura), in the longbow traditional bow category champion was Eugenio Casal (Galicia), while the bare bow championship the best were the Catalans Mari Luz Javier and Javier Ribatallada.
Their trophies were delivered at a ceremony held on the same stage of the competition and with the participation of the Councillor for Sports of Las Torres de Cotillas, Juan Carlos Martínez, President of the Federation of Archery Murcia, José Antonio Morales and Vice President of the Federation of Archery Murcia, Esteban Oliván.
Two days
These national championships, which gathered more than 110 archers from throughout the Spanish territory (including 15 Murcia) and counted in your organization with the Department Torrena d Sport and archery club "Orion" from the county, were held over two rounds played on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May.
In the first round was played the qualifying rounds, which is expected to be completed in around 20 hours and in which there will be two runs: one of 36 arrows at a distance of 30 meters and with a target of 80 cm in diameter; another, also 36 arrows at 18 meters to hit a target of 40 cm.
On Sunday May 10th top 16 start of each form around 10 hours to contest the second round, round from which archers fired 12 arrows at 18 meters.
The final will take place, also with 12 arrows and the same distance, alternate shot mode, for added excitement to the resolution of the title.
