The delegation to the Region of Murcia association Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) on Friday held June 12 in Las Torres de Cotillas an event to celebrate the 74th anniversary of its founding.
Thus, the school "Valentin Buendía" Torreño municipality (located opposite the local Consistory) will host from 20 hours in a panel discussion involving, among others, the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, regional coordinator of AA and various members of this association help discuss their experiences to attendees.
This choice reflects the interest of AA to enhance your message in the town and surrounding Torreño since last few weeks, especially since last May 10th Civic Center Barrio del Carmen Torreño hosts an AA support group (which has 16 others in our region).
What is AA?
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a community founded in 1935 and spread throughout the world, where it is estimated that around 100,000 groups and over 2,000,000 members in 150 countries.
Its members, men and women help each other to maintain sobriety and freely share their recovery experience with others who may have a drinking problem and want solutions.
AA is concerned solely with the recovery and continued sobriety of individual alcoholics who turn to the community for help.
Not involved in alcoholism research or medical or psychiatric treatment, and does not endorse any cause (although AA members can do in their personal capacity.)
Its members maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, television and other media.
